Xmas 2005

Maybe she shouldn't have had that much warm cider, but it was Christmas and everyone was celebrating. That feeling of elation that hailed the beginnings of being pleasantly sozzled was starting to drift up from her chest and into her head.

Only one person didn't seem to be having much fun - not that he was trying very hard, mind you. He'd been holding up the wall furthest away from the merrily-crackling hearth all night long. Everyone knew he was only here because Minerva had insisted.

Hermione frowned. It didn't seem fair... He had as much reason to celebrate as anyone. If only there were something she could-

She smiled as inspiration came to her in the form of a small sprig above his head.
