Narrow escape SS+JP

Severus squirmed against the Full Body Bind. How the HELL did he always manage to get hit with that one? Potter was starting to specialize in it, leaving Severus completely paralyzed in diverse store cupboards all over school only to be discovered hours later.

"Ah, what's this?" Potter was rummaging through Severus' school bag and had pulled out his copy of Advanced Potion-Making. He was thumbing through the pages (WHY had he made those notes in the margins?!), talking in derisory monologue all the while before he found a spell he liked.

"Secturn... Sactum..."

Oh God, no... No! Not that spell! Severus' mind clawed helplessly at his motor neurons, trying to will his body into motion, trying to get it out of the way of that spell.

"Sectumsempru!"

The wand pressed against his cheek burned coldly before Severus felt the hot progress of a gash forming across his cheekbone. A dribble of blood announced the failed spell's end.

Phew! Thank God James can't read Severus' handwriting! Done for a gift exchange on the HP_fan_fics LJ community! My partner requested a whoooole lot of things - one of them being animosity between James and Severus. Not very hard work to imagine that, right?

Yay! Now I am free from my deadline to work on the rest of my to-do list!
